The Wandering Gallery is a pop ups arts events company, created by the multi-faceted Artist and events manager, Nikki.
Also, a few years ago Nikki, with a passion for vintage vehicles, decided to build her own personal studio to create in - "Gladys" is a beautiful artist studio in a converted library bus which Nikki uses privately to create works of art, her own paintings, up-cycled wood crafts and jewellery. But she occasionally opens up Gladys to share with the community for arts events and festivals.
And now she has started The Wandering Gallery too.. a pop up arts events business, which hosts exhibitions and shows in various venues and locations.
After more than a decade as a touring singer, Nikki settled down to live in West Sussex, and between roller skating and cold water sea swimming is focused on creating a variety of arts and entertainment events whilst also creating a new collection of artwork. Asked why Nikki wanted to take part in Hove Arts she said "I love this festival, it’s so amazing to discover not only such a huge range of talented creative folks, but also to get to look around some amazing houses, and really get a good look at a some artists in their natural environment. It’s fascinating!"
So for the first time ever Gladys and Nikki will taking part in Artists Open Houses and be opening up her personal creative space up to the public, as part of the Brighton Festival, and showing you some of her art and her process, and most definitely some new pieces.
You are invited to come an take part in these wonderful art trails. For Nikki this will take place in three different locations on the following dates:
PRIVATE VIEW: Saturday 4th May – Kustom Revival, Unit 80, Mackley Ind Est, Small Dole. BN5 9XR
Wednesday 8th – Sunday 12th of May – Rushfields Plant Centre Poynings. BN45 7AY. 10am – 4:30pm
Saturday 18 – Sunday 19th May – The Plaza, Hove Promenade. BN3 2WN 10:30pm – 6pm
Saturday 25th May – I will be hosting an art stall at I Drew This in the North Lanes: 3 Kensington Place, Brighton. 10 – 5pm.
