Brighton's beloved Flamingo House is set to open its doors and reveal a breathtaking transformation during the upcoming Artists Open House festival this May. After years of meticulous planning and a truly Herculean effort, the house, a vibrant hub for art and creativity, is ready to welcome the public to its newly extended space.
Art curator and homeowner, Charlie, is understandably thrilled. "It's been a labour of love," she shares. "After years of planning and 109 tonnes of buckets full of hand-dug earth later, we're excited to finally welcome you to our new extended space."
The expansion has dramatically enhanced the already charming space. The main room has effectively doubled in volume, creating an atmosphere of airy spaciousness. But the most striking feature is undoubtedly the luminosity that now permeates the house, bathing its collection of flowers, paintings, and sculptures in a radiant glow.
The project is more than just an extension; it's a celebration of light and a bold step towards embracing the Californian concept of "inside-out living." With grand openings that connect the interior with the exterior, the new wing invites the elements to participate in the artistic experience.
